This deluxe hotel has it all
The Hilton in Abu Dhabi is probably the most expensive yet the most amazing of all hotels I have ever stayed in. It is about 20 minutes away from Abu Dhabi International airport and almost in walking distance to the city centre. The hotel is located on the Corniche overlooking the Arabian Gulf and the famous Marina Shopping Mall. I stayed in a deluxe room that really offered everything I could ever wish for in a hotel room. When I entered my room, there was a bowl of fresh fruit on a table in front of two comfortable leather sofas. The king-sized bed was to the left and to the right I found a huge desk with pens and notepad, a mini bar, tv and telephone. The marble bathroom was very spacious with a big shower. What makes the hotel so special is its own Hiltonia Sports & Beach Club. It is only a few steps away from the hotel on the other side of the Corniche. They provided us with beach towels and as we walked in we found two swimming pools – one for children with a water slide and one for adults with a pool bar! The hotel also has its own stretch of beach that you can use being a hotel guest. However, during the summer months the sand and the water are very hot! It is impossible to walk on the beach without shoes – unless you burn the sole of your feet. The water is not refreshing at all and probably as warm as a bath during the winter. What makes this hotel really stand out is the number of restaurants and bars inside the hotel! It has around eight restaurants and three bars catering for all tastes and providing international cuisine. There is a very stylish Italian restaurant, the famous Thai restaurant Royal Orchid, a Mexican-style restaurant and many more! I can highly recommend the renowned Jazz Bar! We had a very nice evening there enjoying our drinks in a welcoming and elegant atmosphere listening to the jazz music! All in all, this is a great, up-scale hotel that will certainly impress you. There is more than just one Hilton hotel in Abu Dhabi, so make sure you book yourself into this one as I heard the other one is not as good. [more] |
