Hungerford - A centre for antiques
The reason many people have for driving to Hungerford is hoping for the luck to find a beautiful old piece of furniture, a blue teapot to match the cups from granny or just a small expensive thing they didn’t know they needed. On my half an hour walk up and down the main road in Hungerford I spotted 5 antique stores. Some more or less expensive – some more or less upperclass – some more or less dusty. The one that was most impressive is called Arcade. It’s like a mix of a fairytale land and a dump. They have EVERYTHING!
