Driving from Burgas to Varna
The distance is only 120 km and you would think that you would get there in an hour and a bit, but plan for at least 2 hours, closer to 3 hours if you are not familiar with the road. Most of the way you will have to drive through the mountain Stara Planina. The road is winding and quite narrow at times, and there are lots of drivers who are speeding dangerously, so take care. If you are lucky enough to be the passenger and you do not suffer from motion sickness, you will enjoy stunning views from the mountain. I always find it nice to have a break half way (in Obzor) to recover from the draining drive (and the motion sickness). [more] |
