Magellan's Strait - Punta Delgada Lighthouse
The Chilean Navy keeps a high number of light-houses along the nation’s thousands of Km of dangerous coast. When crossing the Magellan’s Strait near the First Angostura, you will find the Punta Delgada Lighthouse. This narrow part of the Strait is also known as Boca Oriental, and a Naval Museum can be visited at the lighthouse as well. Outside you find a commemorative plate of the Chilean Navy – dated of 1898, year of the lighthouse’s construction, which is still in use of course.
