Breakfast in the Curve Restaurant Apart from the bitter looking breakfast hostess who stood in the doorway, I had nothing to complain about after having breakfast at the Curve Restaurant. The restaurant was rather crowded when I went down for breakfast at nine o’clock in the morning, but it was no problem at all because the place is quite spacious with lots of seats. I skipped the traditional English breakfast choices and chose some muesli and bread from the continental breakfast. Manhattan Bar & Terrace, Marriott West India Quay The first thing I noticed when we sat down for an afternoon drink in Manhattan Bar & Terrace was how good it smelled in there, a mix of coffee and hot chocolate. Since I came directly from a lunch meeting I settled for a small orange juice while my friend ordered a cappuccino which apparently was a great choice. I loved this bar because it’s spacious with cosy and comfortable furnishing, the staff was very friendly and courteous and the bar also has a terrific terrace. Marriott West India Quay I loved staying at Marriott West India Quay. The hotel is almost perfect in all ways. It has a stylish feeling, beautiful views from most of the rooms and the Executive Lounge, good food in the Curve Restaurant and a great location in Canary Wharf close to shopping, bars and restaurants. My room on the third floor had a very pretty view down to the quay walk and the water, especially at night and early morning. I like that they try to be eco-friendly by leaving a card on the bed to encourage guests to not change sheets every day. [more]
