Pod Wawelem Restaurant
If you happen to see a life sized pint of beer wandering the streets of Krakow he will recommend to you (as would i)eating and drinking at Pod Wawelem on Grodzka. They have an extensive menu in Polish or English and they also have a daily specials menu which is ideal if you are looking to spend next to nothing. We were lucky enough to be there on a Monday which meant Zywiec beer was half the price (about 5 zloty for a large glass) and a meal for 2 consisting of Schnitzel was only 15 zloty and it really is very tasty and fills you up nicely. The waitress’ also bring a plate of Gerkins and cabbage before every meal you order , which we discovered after returning for a second visit and having Goulash soup which is truly delicious.They also brought us complementary vodka shots at the end of each of our meals. By far the most friendly and budget place to eat and drink in Krakow. [more] |
