Hotel Start – a reasonable budget hotel on the outskirts of the city
I stayed at the two star Hotel Start for three nights in September 2008. The hotel is typically communist in appearance and was once a mental asylum. The hotel is located about 5km from the city centre and is very convenient for the trams, buses and giant Tesco. The hotel is very functional with clean, airy rooms and en-suite facilities. The continental breakfast was a good standard and the hotel staff were very helpful despite a subtle language barrier. There is internet access in the foyer payable in local currency and the hotel staff are happy to arrange any tours on your behalf. Do not expect luxury, however the hotel would suit the budget traveller. [more] |
