Built in 1061 by William the Conquerer this complex was built on to over the years and functioned as among other things a prison, an armoury and a tresurery. Now it is probably most famous as the holding place of the English crown jewels.

The Tower of London is one of those places that I have always wanted to visit. At an admission price of 16 pounds, I think it is well worth the price. I spent hours there; going form area to area looking at all they have to offer, which is a lot. There are many great photography opportunities...
