Church of St. Zachary
Church of St. Zachary is located at Castello, Campo San Zaccaria (behind the Basilica di San Marco). If you like your art, then you should check out the church of St. Zachary, because you will find many treasures inside. The paintings are not labeled however if you ask someone who is around they will point you which painting belongs to which artist. The church dates back to 9th century and is done in Gothic style. Inside you will find Bellini's picture of Madonna enthroned with 4 saints, as well as works by Tintoretto, Antony van Dyck, Titian and il Vecchio. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 10:00am until noon and from 4:00pm until 6:00pm, while the price of admission is free. [more] |
