Fascinating American History
The Museum of American History is one of the many Smithsonian museums and focuses on several aspects of this country’s history. One of my favorite exhibits was the Transportation section, which brings you through the evolution of transportation and how it shaped American cities, culture and economy. It was an interesting lens to use in examining the development of the country. Perhaps the most famous collection at the museum is their First Ladies display. In this section you can see the dresses worn to presidential inaugurations by some of the First Ladies and also read about their role in the White House and contributions of past First Ladies.
