Not really into sculpture, the Bode Museum is one of those museums where it’s nice to take a scroll with your friend on a cold or rainy day. Having the most prominent location on Museum Island sitting at the tip of the island with two bridges connecting it to the mainland, I love walking here and sitting on the benches carved into the stone bridges and taking in the view of the TV Tower in the background. I see the Bode museum more as an accessory or backdrop to my evening rather than making the evening. Bode Museum - Overview

The Bode Museum belongs to the group of museums on the Museum Island in Berlin and is a historically preserved building. The museum was designed by architect Ernst von Ihne and completed in 1904. Originally called the Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum after Emperor Frederick III, the museum was renamed in honor of its first curator, Wilhelm von Bode, in 1956.
