Düsseldorf Tower (Rheinturm)
The Düsseldorf Rhine Tower is a good place to get a panoramic overview of the city. Besides the fact that this was the first European city I had ever visited (and I loved Germany and Europe), Düsseldorf had a charm and it really grew on me. There was nothing very hurried about it at all. The view from the tower expands over the typical German rooftops and the Rhine meandering through the city. From here it looked like this was a city that had succumbed to industrialization without giving up on good taste, traditions and culture. [more] |
