Ohlsdorf Cemetery
Visiting cemeteries seems creepy to some, but it´s actually a really interesting insight into a city´s history. This one has plenty to offer. It is the second biggest cemetery in the world in terms of area covered (there´s a bus line that serves the whole thing). A map at the entry will show you where to find various special areas like war memorials, veteran cemeteries, Jewish cemeteries, a cemetery for Hamburg´s rich and powerful, mausoleums and crypts and an ancient burial site.
