Ludwigskirche in Saarbruecken
The place that I liked the most in Saarbruecken (and the whole Saarland) was the Ludwigskirche. This nice 18-th century church is situated in the middle of a large square called Ludwigsplatz in the Southern part of the town, and is one of the nicest examples of German baroque I have ever seen. The church has somewhat square form, it is not elongated and both its exterior and interior feature many Baroque elements. And the whole square arond it is a really nice place to be. Unfortunately the church was heavuly bombed during WWII, but I never was interested to investigate which parts of its decoration were authentic and which were copies - I liked the church the way it was.
