Royal Norfolk Regimental Museum is located at Market Avenue. If you are a history and military buff this one might be just up your alley. Norfolk regiment was founded in the late 17th century and in this museum you can learn more about the wars they took part in during almost 3 centuries. You can see a lot of items on display that the regiment has brought back from their travels some were with military use in mind, while other were more unusual. There is also an extensive collection of medals. Overall it will take you about an hour to look through everything so plan accordingly. Opening hours are Tuesdays to Fridays from 10:00am until 4:30pm; Saturdays from 10:00am until 5:00pm, closed Mondays and Sundays. [more] |
