Balanced Rock´s background views of La Sal Mountains
The Balanced Rock was one of the most picturesque features in the Arches National Park. For one it would seem that a large sandstone rock was placed right on top of a threadlike rock formation, the truths is it´s distinctive and shape was produced by erosion. Experts say it will fall down in the course of time so if you are on your way don´t miss this spot. The majority of these spectacular sandstone giants can be seen from the road route passing nearby the attractions, but there were also many other reachable through trekking paths. From the Balance Rock you can also enjoy magnificent views of La Sal mountains. [more] |
