Bratislava castle
Bratislava castle is the main landmark of the Slovakian capital. It is on the high hill to the west of the center and is visible from many places around the city. The castle is a perfect square with small towers on the edges. It also has a big system of fortifications around, which offer a view towards the city in all directions. Unfortunately the view is not so great, since it consists mainly of panel blocks or big roads, but especially in the direction of the center it is quite nice. There is a museum in the castle, but I didn't enter. The castle offers also the best souvenir shop in Bratislava and free clean toilets in the inner courtyard. [more] |
