The Indianapolis Museum of Art
The Indianapolis Museum of Art is a great museum with some very rare pieces of art from all genres. It has gone through a recent renovation, and the results are beautiful. There is a giant large glass foyer, with etchings on the windows. The museum itself contains several different sections for modern art, Pop art, jewelry, furniture, medieval art, Asian art, African art, and many other types of art. This museum is truly world class, and even the architecture of the museum itself is expansive and really allows for you to focus on the art but enjoy being in the building. The museum offers an experience, including a restaurant, a café, a theater, a gift shop full of rare items, and even large expansive grounds with sculpture and a historical house. I would highly recommend that you visit this museum if you are an art enthusiast of any kind. [more] |
