Michaelerkirche
Michaelerkirche – the church of St Michael in Steyr is probably the nicest baroque church of the city. Its beautifully painted pinkish facade is easily visible across the river Steyr just in front of the main bridge. The church was built in the 17-th century and belonged to the Jesuits, who took care to decorate it marvelously in the modern styles of the time – baroque and classicism. The high altar is especially beautiful and is one of the nicest baroque altars in Austria, featuring a great picture of how archangel Michael , the patron saint of the church wins over Lucifer.
