The Parliament of Austria
The Parliament of Austria is the best parliament building I have ever seen and I have seen exactly 15 parliament buildings up to now. It looks exatly the way I imagine a parliament building should look like and I am really surprised it is not usually counted as one of the main tourit attractions in the city; this is most probably because it is not opened for public visits so the tourists cannot enter but only see it from the outside. But that doesn't make the building less amazing - it is in neo-classical style with enormous columns and staircases like an ancient Greek temple and in front of it there is a big statue of the Goddess of wisdom - Atina (Minerva). So when visiting Vienna and its famous town hall, don't forget to see the great building to the left of it. [more] |
