One early Sunday morning, my sister and I took the Sihltal Zürich Uetlibergbahn (SZU) from Zürich’s Haubtbahnhof to Uetliberg. It took us around five minutes to reach the 871 meter high top and another couple of minutes to get to the 30 meter high viewing tower. It was rather misty outside but we could still see the city, the lake and the forest and hills beyond Zürich. Since most of the tourists don’t get there until later during the day, the best time to visit Uetliberg is probably during the morning. Evenings when it’s dark are probably great too. [more] |
