Theo Thijssen Museum is located at Eerste Leliedwarsstraat 16. If you are always on the look-out for small, out of the usual tourist track museums then you should definitely give this one a visit. Dedicated to a very popular children's author Theo Thijssen who lived in the period at the beginning of 20th century. Not only will you learn about the author himself, but also it will offer you a glimpse into Amsterdam of that period. The house looks lived in and it is organized as someone's home while the exhibitions are in Dutch. But don’t despair you can ask the staff for explanations in English.
