Overall experience 3 stars
Discovery World Museum- Science Chapter of Travel Blog: Discovery World: is it the place to discover?

The Staff 5 stars
Discovery World Museum- Science Chapter of Travel Blog: Discovery World: is it the place to discover?

The floor staff was also great. They had them located throughout the entire facility for easy access for guests….they were knowledgeable and able to give great explanations of the exhibits… for the most part. Some of the exhibits had poor descriptions and I really had no idea as to what the... [more]

Other than this, the location of the museum and the design of the building are absolutely beautiful. The museum is located on the lake front, and is between Lake Michigan and downtown Milwaukee. If you go up to the Pilot House, you will have a 360 degree view of both the lake and the downtown... [more]

Expensive! 1 stars

There were a lot of hands-on activities throughout the exhibits and they were great. I enjoyed them. You could very well spend an entire day at the building, but again, there was that disconnected feeling with the exhibits and audience. My other complaint is that they had very little... [more]

Educational Classes and additional activities 4 stars
Discovery World Museum- Science Chapter of Travel Blog: Discovery World: is it the place to discover?

They also offer educational classes on the weekends that are great to participate when you’re with family or friends. The classes vary by month, but the choices that were there when I visited were a screen-printing class (very cool), robot building class (built a computer mouse into a little... [more]

Museum's Exhibits 3 stars
Discovery World Museum- Science Chapter of Travel Blog: Discovery World: is it the place to discover?

The exhibits are interesting, focusing on topics like nanotechnology, biomimicry, biometrics, and green screen technology. The other half of the exhibits consist of a beautiful jelly fish tank, Caribbean tanks with puffer fish and eels, a large Lake Michigan tank with various fish, and touch... [more]
