The Flying Monkeys at Namagaza Nature Reserve
Namagaza nature reserve is a conservation area that also serves as a cultural site for the local communities in Mukifumburo, southern Uganda. An extensive tour the nature reserve takes one across many wonderful and rare breeds of indigenous vegetations and wildlife species. The transition of indigenous vegetation in the nature reserve almost resembles a modern botanical garden! The aspect that thrilled us the most however, was the group of energized monkeys that we encountered at Namagaza Nature Reserve. The monkeys performed some rare gymnastics flying expertly across different trees as if they had been trained! Chimpanzees, jackals and antelopes freely roamed the sprawling landscape of the nature reserve. [more] |
