The fishing village of Agios Konstantinos links Central Greece with the beautiful Sporadic Islands of Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos, through the ferry services which use the harbour of this small village. I found the village to be charming and traditional whilst also modern and efficient with it’s tourist services to the Sporadic Islands. It is a village shaded by gigantic plane trees which add a pleasurable green beauty to the surroundings and where in one of the local tavernas on the main square, I enjoyed a sweet Greek coffee. The central square boasts many tavernas, restaurants, and café bars, whilst the imposing church, of Agios Konstantinos, dwarfs the square. The town also has many fine family run hotels and a number of modern camping sites which you can use as a rest over on your journey from Athens to Salonika via the Greek National road.
