\skiing at Whistler, BC, Canada
Skiing at Whistler Blackcomb has spoilt us for skiing everywhere else. It is a fantastic mountain, infact 2 mountains, and we liked the long tree trails and better weather on the Blackcomb side. We hired a car from Alamo National, the cheapest if you are over 25 and picked it up in Vancouver, not at the airport. The drive is easy, beautiful and well signposted up the sea to sky highway. Stop in Squamish and buy lift passes at the 7/11 store for a considerable saving ($69). Whistler is not cheap and accommodation was almost double the price of other ski fields, but very well organised with a frequent round village bus running until 1am.
