Rotorua
Rotorua is an aquatic paradise with many lakes which were all formed from the craters of extinct volcanoes. As you enter Rotorua there is a distinct smell of sulphur wafting throughout the town. Rotorua is most famous for its maori culture and geothermal hot mud pools which are a unique experience. However the many other activities here appear endless - Walking, fishing, golf and white water rafting to name a few. There are various cultural tours you can go on involving maori culture, geothermal springs and native kiwi wildlife. There is also plenty of accommodation and dining opportunities as this is the perfect place to stay for at least a few days. [more] |
