Budget Accommodation with a View of the Pyramids, Giza, Cairo
I found this hotel online and booked it mainly based on the price ($30 US per Double Room per night). It's listed as a 4-star hotel, although I would rate it as 3-star tops. Still, it was a very good deal for the price. It was clean, quiet, and our room had an amazing view of the Pyramids. Breakfast was included in the price, and we were able to watch the light show at the Pyramids from the roof terrace of the hotel. It's quite a long taxi ride from the centre of Cairo, and there are no easy links by public transportation. But the taxi ride only costs 20 Egyptian pounds (approximately $4 US, and of course this is the tourist price!) and the prices are far better for the quality than you will find in the centre of Cairo. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good balance between quality and price. [more] |
