Nassau Street, Princeton's main drag
The main drag in Princeton is Nassau Street. If you are coming from north Jersey, take Hwy 27 and it will turn into Nassau Street. There are a number of historical sights and beautiful buildings along Nassau. One on side is Princeton University’s campus and the other side has little specialty shops, really nice houses, plenty of coffee shops and restaurants and a handful of churches. Even during the winter, the street has students, tourists and locals walking along the street. The area has a very friendly and historical vibe. Any visitor to south/central Jersey must take a walk along Nassau Street in Princeton! Parking is free on Sundays. The rest of the time, there is a 2 hour time limit and parking meters. The Princeton train station is along one of the main lines on the New Jersey transit line. You can also get there by bus. [more] |
