Really hungry and broke
One of the polish most original restaurant to experience if you almost don’t have any money is called “Familijny Bar Mleczny” ul. Nowy Świat 39. It can be translate by “Family Milk Bar”, but has honestly nothing to do with dairies… Anyway, if you are broke and desperately need to get a big plate of potatoes with beetroot and roasted pork, this is the right place to go. It is open every day and offers polish specialties. Don’t get afraid by the decoration which is still very communistic - the tables are dirty and the staff looks bored. The food is actually great and will satisfy most of the customers. You can meet people from any age, position, nationality. It could remind a charity center, but it’s not the point.
