Torc waterfall
Not a very big waterfall, falling 18 miters and flowing into Muckross Lake, it is situated into a lovely and peaceful site of Killarney National Park. The road is also accessible, three or four km from the town of Killarney and only 200m off the roadside. Don’t forget to be adequately equipped for this 200m climb, others found it exhausting. My group however chose to continue climbing up the mountain. It didn’t show us any other spectacular view of the waterfall but the walk was lovely as the path meandered through the wooded Friar’s Glen. I advise you should go early in the evening because it can get very crowded during the tourist season. [more] |
