What makes the beach street food rock!
What I love about Long-ga burger stands isn't just about the burger that they sell that totally is a delight to munch on while you're on a beach towel on the sand. First, there's the fact that you can find them everywhere along the beach. Just walk a bit further and you'll find them along the stretch of sand! Second, there's the fact that they barely close and they're the first one's up. So while the rest of Boracay is just waking up from a heavy night of partying, you can be having your grilled breakfast and watch the sunrise. Finally, it's the fact that there is a lot more to choose from than just the famed longganisa burger or pork sausage burger. There's bits of beef barbequed on a stick, grilled fish balls on a stick with dipping sauce, etc. Yummy! [more] |

Local Sausage Burger Super Stands Out!
When you're having a great day on the beach in Boracay and get the munchies--there is nothing like having some great local food. Since you're by the sea, the first instinct would be to get some really fresh seafood straight from the ocean. But in this case, the typical long-ga burger on the beachfront makes the cut! The long-ga burger is a burger made with a pork sausage that is slightly sweet and spicy, grilled on a charcoal grill. It's a delicious snack that fills you up quite well. Usually locals put banana ketchup (a sweetish and sour variant of the usual tomato based ketchup) with their long-ga burger. Long-ga by the way is short for "longganisa." [more] |
