When it comes to casino gambling , Jamaica is no Las Vegas but in recent years there has been an increase in the number of casinos in the island , as the government moves towards endorsing casino gaming. The Acropolis is one such casino that has emerged during recent years and is among one of Kingston’s finest casino. There is always something happening at the Acropolis like ladies night, where ladies get free drinks or free tokens to gamble. The casino is located in Kingston which is a mountainous city; this would probably explain its name, Acropolis. An Acropolis was a citadel in Ancient Greece. Acropolis is derived from the Greek words Akros meaning highest and polis meaning city. The remarkable interior architectural design of the casino also reflects its Greek inspiration. It’s a great place to meet friends, unwind and throw away a little money, if you’re really into casinos. At an exchange rate of Jamaican $95 to 1 Euro, that’s 94 more bangs for your buck, sort of…. and it’s highly unlikely you will leave there a pauper.
