Baked Goodies at Sonya's Garden
For a world-weary urban dweller, there's nothing like the smell and taste of stuff piping hot from the oven! In Tagaytay City, it's usually the small restaurant amidst the colorful garden that make's Sonya's Garden restaurant a hit. (And the bountiful organic buffet!) But trust me--Sonya's makes the most delightful stuff from their ovens, available at the tiny counter deli. Just follow the smell of the oven at work after your hearty lunch there, beside the gift shoppe. You'll find the deli where there are spreads of local white cheese or 'kesong puti' as the locals call it, which absolutely melt-in-your-mouth as well as on the fresh bread. Each visit to Sonya's, I make sure to take home some freshly baked herb bread and some bread twists, warm straight from their home oven for friends and family!
