A day out at Canada’s Wonderland!
Want to feel like a kid again? Go to Canada’s Wonderland! Although it is not as big as Disney World, it is tons of fun with many, many rides to choose from! I have been there twice and still haven’t been to all the rides. Being the daredevil that I am, I enjoyed "Top Gun", “Jet Scream”, “Psyclone”, “Vortex” and “Drop Tower” to name a few. And “Tomb Raider” - well what can I say, I had to close my eyes the entire ride! I think my horizontally-placed body twisted and turned in every angle possible! I also loved the waterpark – some great slides there, and there is also a lazy river. The only thing I didn’t like were the long line-ups (expected I guess) and at some point in the lazy river I got sprayed with cold water! The map of Wonderland is easy to use and follow. They have a great place for kids (Hana-Barbera Land, Kidzville and Nickelodeon Central) – I did go to Nickelodeon Central at some point to watch a Sponge Bob simulated video which was fun! we followed him on his bike and went to all kinds of places to find a pickle for his burger! The rides are all ranked according to level of difficulty. So plan your route in advance and have an agenda because time goes fast! Also, take with you some sun block lotion, a towel (in case you like water rides or get sprayed!) and a camera! There is a Paramount store once you get inside that sells cameras and many other items. Even if you don't like rides, you can still have a great time there as it also has daily events and shows. You can lie on deck chairs by the pool and enjoy the numerous restaurants, bars and cafes. Also, please note that although it is a major "Toronto" attraction, it is not in Toronto itself but in a neighbouring city called Vaughan.
