The Jubilee Course
Named for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897, the course has gone through many changes over the years, starting as a 12-hole course for ladies and beginners, it's now the most difficult of the seven links courses in St. Andrews. With its narrow fairways lined with sharp gorse and deep bunkers, this course will test the best golfers. However, it's also a fun course to play. Sure, you're probably gonna lose about a dozen balls in the gorse (I lost 15 the first time I played the Jubilee), but it's well worth it. Built on a narrow stirp of land between the New Course and the sea, this course is simply stunning in its beauty. If you can only play once while in St. Andrews, aim for the Old Course, but if that fails, the Jubilee is by far the best choice. [more] |
