Biking on the Galloping Goose Trail
I visited Victoria, BC, with my sister and the galloping Goose Trail was the most fun and enjoyable experience! We rented a room at the University of Victoria, took a quick bus ride to downtown Victoria and rented bikes for the day. I remember the rental cost being extremely affordable, I think it was $12 for the entire day! We set off early to make the best of the day. I was overwhelmed at how much beautiful scenery we passed! It was like time came to a standstill. We had to stop along the way, just to digest the expanse beauty which included lakes, fields, hills, canyons, beaches, bridges and different types of vegetation. It's a good idea to go with someone, although if you need any help with directions or anything else there are frequent passer-bys on the trail who would be more than willing to help you out. I recommend going to the Tourist Info Booth downtown Victoria (by the docks) to get a hardcopy map of the trail. Take a small backpack with you with water, snacks and a camera and you'll be all set!
