Accidentally Cool Place: Henry’s Grille
During one of my many adventures along Maginhawa street inside the University of the Philippines campus, I stumbled upon a restaurant that immediately captured my attention. I liked its sophisticated yet laid-back setting. The food was a bit pricey for my standards, but a single bite convinced me that it’s worth it. This is Henry’s Grille. Located at 131 Maginhawa street, Teacher’s Village (a.k.a. UP Village) East in Diliman Quezon City, this restaurant caters and delivers upon request (For more information, call them at these numbers: 024334782, 024263567, 639202223680). There are a number of ways on how to get there, but if you’re commuting, you can ride either a cab or a tricycle. Either way, just ride one from anywhere around the UP vicinity and state your destination; drivers know where to take you. If not, just say it’s in front of the Bayantel building. They have a number of things on their menu. Each one excellently prepared—from tasty appetizers to luscious desserts. But what I like most in Henry’s Grille is its Pork Barbeque, juicy pork slices coated with a sweet sauce and tenderly grilled to mouthwatering goodness. Having said that, add the Calamares—a squid dipped in batter and fried to perfection served with tartar sauce. With a weekly acoustic performance, Henry’s is definitely more than just a grill.
