Colva Beach - Fun in the Sun!
Colva Beach, known as the "Queen of Beaches in India", is huge with white sands, coconut palm trees and plenty of sunshine! It's better to go there between October to June, as June to September is the rainy season and there is less sunlight as well. The cool serene waters and fresh sea breeze is so rejuvenating! It puts you in a dream-like trance! Colva Beach is a fun place to go to if you want to be by the beach but also want excitement. And you'll get plenty of it there with the tender-coconut stalls (yummy!), other snack shacks, and massages on the beach (yes people give Ayurvedic massages on the beach)! In December there are a lot of parties and other entertainment on the beach, and there are several good resorts neighbouring the beach that you can stay at. Close to the beach is the Colva roundabout, where you will find shops, restaurants and transport. If you don't like crowds, it's better to go on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds. GOA....a famous tourist destination in India. Goa is sun, fun and lots of beaches. Colva beach is one of the famous beaches in Goa. The best part of visiting the Colva beach is that this beach isn’t too crowded and that brought me a sigh of relief, away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Known for its dense coconut and palm trees this beach is a must see for all the nature and water lovers, who like to spend time away from all the hassles of the city life and need some peace. This beach is known as the most tranquil beach in the entire state. It’s the most wonderful time I had in the entire tour of Goa. There were some local eateries and that took away the hunger in me. The food was mostly fish and prawns and I must say for the first time I enjoyed eating so much fish and prawns at such an affordable rates. Not far from the beach are some comfortable and cozy staying facilities which are usually cheap and quite reasonable. No matter how much I got around Goa, when I came to Colva, my tired spirit is rekindled and I find myself relaxing. The only thing I have a problem while at this beach is my cell phone network just does not pick up and this has happened a couple of times, so its rather frustrating. The sunrise and sunsets were something I enjoyed the most, as I could see the sky changing colors and this made me feel, as if Michelangelo was painting the sky all over once again.
