The Café’s Mini Library
After our first visit, it was just a matter of time before I became a regular. It’s funny that I didn’t notice the mini library on my first café tour. But then I was glad when I found out that I can also read books while chilling out with a cup of hot coffee or a glass of iced soda. To make your stay more fun, always bring your friends with you. Coffee Way is really one of the best hang-out places inside the UP campus. On the other hand, this place is also best if you want to spend your time alone. It’s cozy, inviting, and really peaceful. Don’t miss this café. It’s located along Maginhawa street in UP village, Diliman Quezon City. If you have the luxury of driving your own car, has a rented car, or want to take a cab, just follow this: from C.P. Garcia street, turn right to get in the UP village. Turn right to Maginhawa street when you see a store called Ministop. From there, just go straight and you’ll find Coffee Way on the left side of the street. [more] |

More than Just Coffee, Indeed
Actually, I and my friend went to Coffee Way not just for a cup of coffee. We visited the place because we wanted to see the café’s famous gallery. This is another interesting thing about this café—it houses the artworks of my friends and professors. In fact, it has a studio on its second floor called the Blue Room. This area of the café is what I call the artspace which showcases masterpieces of both amateur and professional artists alike. Yes, the café is very open to those young artists who want to exhibit their artworks. If you happen to be in this café, don’t forget about the Blue Room. I’m sure you’ll love the art pieces and would be encouraged either to create art yourself or to simply appreciate the subject. [more] |

Food Choices in Coffee Way
What I immediately liked most about the place was its affordable food. While my friend and I were there, we ordered tacos, nachos, a tuna wrap, an oatmeal cookie, and a fizzy strawberry soda. The tacos and nachos were really crunchy and cheesy while the tuna wrap was filled with cheesy tuna and drizzled with garlic dressing. The last two orders were just enough to tickle our sweet teeth. Prices of these orders range from less than 30PHP to 75PHP—which is less than 2USD. I recommend that you try everything that we ordered. Sadly, we stuffed our faces full yet forgot to drink coffee which was the reason why we went there in the first place. However, I realized that that’s one other good thing about the place. Coffee Way is a café that offers more than just a cup of coffee. Having said that, I guarantee that its food is also worth coming back for. [more] |

When I Stumbled Upon Coffee Way
I was driving around with a friend when he told me he wanted coffee. Being the sleep deprived writer that I am, I immediately agreed. Fortunately, we’ve heard of this coffee place within the University of the Philippines campus which is near my old apartment in Mapagkawanggawa street. After five minutes of searching, we found the place. This is good news for all travelers because we have experienced a new realm of pleasure for the taste buds which is worth sharing with. This was how I stumbled upon Coffee Way and since then, I have been thankful that we tried the place out. I love everything about this café—its ambiance, food choices, drinks, and special features such as its gallery and mini library. Visit the place too so you can also revel in the Coffee Way glory.
