Reasons to Come Back to Café Quezon
Every visitor has his own reasons for coming back to Café Quezon. As one of the frequent or I say regular customers of the café, I have my simple yet convincing reasons why I love this place. Firstly, the café is one of the best local coffee shops in the city. You can go to Starbucks or Seattle’s but I guarantee that the ambiance that Café Quezon has is way different. It’s homey and has a local feel in it. Secondly, this café offers a very wide selection of delectable goodies at affordable prices. Thirdly and lastly, it’s a perfect place to mingle with other people or meet with friends. With my high standards, I don’t usually go back to a certain place if I don’t like it at all. But in Café Quezon, not only regulars like me keep on coming back but also new comers who have learned to love the place. [more] |

How to Get There Safely
Located at 179 Maginhawa street in Sikatuna Village, Diliman Quezon City, this quaint little café is situated right across Steak of the Nation. Getting there is quite simple for those who are coming from or at least know where C.P. Garcia is. From that street, it’s just a tricycle away. But just to be sure, better take a cab. It’s safer and more convenient for foreign travelers to reach Café Quezon this way. Just tell the cab driver that the café is located inside the University of the Philippines. If you’re more of an adventurous type of person, I’m sure you won’t get a cab. Then, you will just need to take an ikot jeep and get to C.P. Garcia. Once you’re there, take a tricycle and tell the driver to take you to Café Quezon. I just want to remind you though; don’t flaunt your money or don’t act like you’re a rich person if you decide to take the jeep and the tricycle. Just so you know, hold-up is a popular crime in the Philippines. [more] |

Relaxing Means Eating (A Lot)
The cafe fortunately has a menu-flyer, so I didn’t have to list everything down this time. Café Quezon offers a wide range of food products—from soup, salad, noodles, pasta, to sandwiches and rice meals. It also has desserts and pastries which I love most! Aside from those, here are my other favorites: a creamy serving of mushroom soup; frozen mocha with ice cream which is better than your average cold mocha drink and definitely a better choice than an over-priced Starbucks drink; banana crunch with ice cream—a slice of crunchy banana cake with a generous sprinkle of walnuts; Pistachio cake—a mildly sweet slice of pistachio cake melded with the perfect amount of chocolate; and shrimp red carbonara—a hefty serving of pasta with red carbonara sauce topped with delectable shrimp. Phew! I know I almost listed everything but to tell you the truth, that’s not all. Café Quezon offers a whole lot more! Plus, everything is surely affordable with prices that range from $1 up to $5 only. I obviously like eating there a lot. And if I remember correctly, I’m one of its first customers. Hopefully, it’ll continue to flourish while it slowly captures others’ hearts as it has captured mine. Café Quezon is definitely a must-try for anyone who isn’t afraid to splurge a bit for his own satisfaction. [more] |

Chill Out at Café Quezon
So you want to go to a café where you can relax while eating good food too? Well, Café Quezon is just for you. This suburban place caters to the middle class as it serves drinks and meals that satisfy high-class standards. The café has two areas: one is for smoking patrons and the other is for not really for non-smoking visitors but it’s an airconditioned room. Equipped with a clean unisexual comfort room, restful chairs, and cozy atmosphere, Café Quezon slowly but surely gathers more and more regulars each and every day. Oh, don’t worry about the parking space. There is an ample area around the café just for your car. [more] |
