Main train station
We arrived by train in Antwerp, as we went there straight from Brussels, so the first place we visited was actually the train station. And what a place it is! I heard the Belgians are really proud of this train station and they really have a reason to be proud. The building is amazing. It has a lovely structure and the colors of the walls are also impressive. There are many areas, including a lovely cafe, which apparently used to be a sort of lounge for the first-class passengers of the early 20th century. Don't forget to take a good look at the entrance, especially at the lovely decorations below the enormous clock. [more] |
