Dinner and Dance at Majorda Beach Resort
So we were hanging out in our rooms when we were invited to dinner at the Majorda Hotel restaurant! We got really excited, got dressed and headed downstairs. The restaurant was lively and had a band playing great music. We could help ourselves to the extensive dinner buffet, and sat at big round tables with other hotel guests (many of them also from the cancelled flight!) Just when I thought the evening could not get any better, the band pumped up the music, the dance floor opened up and we started dancing! What I really enjoyed is the hotel guests all danced together; we clapped and danced around in circles and had a fantastic time! I love how strangers can just unite like that! Later on we hit the sac, tired but content with how the long day turned into such a spectacular event! The next morning we left the hotel, went back to the airport, got yet another buffet lunch, boarded the flight to Mumbai and bid farewell to our lovely time in Goa! [more] |

Overnight at Majorda Beach Resort
When we found out we weren't flying until the next day, we started to wonder what would happen - where would we stay? I was with my parents, sisters and grandmother who couldn't walk too well at the time. Then the announcement came - the airline was putting our entire flight up at the Majorda Beach Resort (http://www.majordabeachresort.com/)! I could not believe what I had heard and neither could my family! We were not in a rush to go back to Mumbai, so it came as a very nice surprise! We had always dreamed of staying at this luxurious 5 star resort. However when we went to Goa in previous years we always stayed with family so never got to go there. The 6 of us got 3 huge rooms to stay in, each with 2 King-size beds. We also had balconies overlooking the georgeous stretch of white sand and sea! The rooms also had satellite TV with a great selection of shows and free in-house movies, and the beds were so comfortable!
