Clarke Quay, Singapore City

5.0 stars

Colourful and lively

Clarke Quay is a bar and restaurant area. The first time I was in Singapore, I wandered into it incidentally. It was morning and everything was closed. Nevertheless, it was still very picturesque, with every house painted in its own colour.

The next time I came to Singapore, Clarke Quay was on the top of my list of places to visit. In the early evening the place is much more vibrant. I am guessing it gets even better at night, but we had a baby with us, so we opted for an early dinner. If you are there early, too, when you choose a restaurant, take into consideration that the sun will move. We chose a restaurant in the shade and half an hour later we were getting fried in the sun, still very hot at 6 pm. Our seafood dinner was fantastic and the bill total was lower than what we expected. [more ]
