La Caverna restaurant, Alhama de Murcia
This lovely brasserie cum restaurant is actually located a little way outside Alhama de Murcia, in a village called Los Ventorrillos. Easily found with a map of the area, and I can highly recommend it. The inside of the restaurant is decorated on the theme of a cave, the "caverna" in the name, and there are tiny dinosaurs, animals and other objects hidden away in the various nooks and crannies. It kept the kids amused, and the owner was very tolerant of their trips around to see what they could find hiding. The place looks new, and the setting is great, done to a very high standard. The food is good, with the lamb, steak and chicken highly recommended. There is also a small pleasant terrace to sit and have a coffee or a beer after the meal. Our total bill for a celebration meal for 4 was 80 euros, not bad for 3 courses and drinks! tel. 0034 639633779 for a table, not sure if English spoken though! [more] |
