Independence Arch
A lovely monument that one must not miss in Monterrey is the Arch of Independence. Actually, I think it's pretty difficult to miss it, as it is locate din a pretty touristy area. I think there are some local legends connected to passing under the arch, but I don not know any of them. The arch is really beautiful, has a lovely structure and I love the statue on top of it. The arch was built in 1910 with the occasion of celebrating 100 years since Mexico got its independence. I think it symbolizes independence pretty well. [more] |
