Clubbing Aussie Style: Walkabouts
Most towns in the United Kingdom have one, as do many holiday spots in Europe - I remember one in Magaluf with particular fondness. Manchester's version isn't to be outdone, however, with three floors of good music and a great, friendly atmosphere until 3 in the morning. The majority of clubbers in walkabout seem to be in their late 20's and early 30's, making me feel refreshingly youthful. The DJ on the bottom floor will usually play and music requested and it can get really cheesy down there! Some of my dancing in that place would make a one-legged deaf person cringe - yet in this place it seems to be the norm, going unnoticed. Great place to make a clown of oneself. [more] |
