House of the Golden Ring
This city run gallery is located in this historic Late Gothic house located in the vicinity of Old Town Square. It is a marvelous building that usually has on display an intriguing art exhibition. The first floor is devoid of art, but there is a entrance table, where you can purchase an inexpensive ticket and then climb the stairs of the old building and enjoy the centuries old architecture as you do. The top two floors hold the art exhibits, but the walls are so unique. They are kind of free-flowing amorphous creations without any sharp angles. The paintings display well on the walls with the only drawback being the low ceilings. The third floor is more of the same except there is a library at one end that contains beautifulart books written in either Czech or German.. [more] |
