Yesterday (17/08), I have a long walk on Mare with my friend. Before going home I'm offer her to drink some cider in restaurant near Center Pompidou ( Creperie Beaubourg: 2, rue Brisemiche). After we take a seat waiter proposed us menu and when we tried to order only drinks he very politely informed us that according to restaurant's rule we should order something to eat. OK, we order something. But he returned very soon and said that his boss told him to accept only orders for a "full dinner". Imagine - Paris in mid-August, Monday, creperie and...Full Dinner! They have at least half of tables on terrace free (and even more inside). It was ridiculous! Well, I can accept it if was alone, but I was with a girl with a broken leg (and mold) on crunches. I asked waiter to inform his boss that I will do my best to spread the word about his behavior among my friends and Internet users as well. [more] |

Creperie Beaubourg
I went out for a late afternoon lunch with my sister-in-law not too long ago to a wonderful bistro known as Creperie Beaubourg. At the first mentioning of crepes, our children clung to our legs and begged for us to take them with us, and how could we resist? My sister-in-law and I enjoyed some of the best coffee in all of the Le Marais district and crepes while our kids gnawed away at their own fruity crepes and sipped their juices. The waiters and waitresses here were very friendly and even helped our children pick out what sort of crepes they wanted, which was a big plus for us mothers! [more] |
