Anarchist Summit/Regal Ridge
Rounding the corners at the top of Anarchist Summit, I’ve driven to Osoyoos, BC many times in my life but this time it was different. Beautiful bronze statues starting appearing at every corner – a cougar, then a sasquatch, a deer, a moose, then an eagle and on and on! A total of eight statues are in place to mark the newest housing development in Osoyoos – Regal Ridge. The artists, Adrian Erickson and Kevin Peters, have teamed up with Pyramid Bronze Works of Kelowna, BC to produce these dramatic, beautiful and uniquely Canadian sculptures. Even though these statues ultimately represent a business venture, I can see them becoming a huge tourist attraction with everyone wanting to get photos – here are my favourites! [more] |
